Important Footnotes:

1

Per Idaho State Board of Education Policy III.N - Statewide General Education, a minimum of 36 credits of general education (GE) courses are required for Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees. Any questions regarding minimum GE requirements should be directed to your advisor.

2

For all degrees and certificates:

  • An overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better is required for graduation with an Academic Transfer degree or certificate. A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better for all Major Requirements is required for graduation with a CTE degree or certificate.
  • A minimum grade of C is required for all Major Requirements within specific CWI programs that are competitive entry and/or have programmatic accreditation. This is noted on the degree and/or certificate pages of each program.
  • Program lengths may vary depending on a variety of factors. Please refer to individual degree or certificate pages for specific program lengths.
3

For Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, three (3) of the 37 general education credits must come from an Ethical Reasoning course.

4

An Associate of Science degree requires a total of 25 STEM credits. These credits include the required GEM 3 and GEM 4 designated courses which are completed as part of the general education program requirements. Students must complete the additional courses needed to total 25 credits. Courses can be selected from the GEM 3, GEM 4, or STEM-designated course lists.

5

An Associate of Engineering degree requires fewer general education (GE) credits than an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree and does not meet the statewide GE requirements, therefore students will not be considered "GE core complete" upon completion of the degree. However, the program was designed to make transferring into a four-year Engineering program easier and is intended to result in students being better prepared to transfer in at a junior-class level.

6

Some certificate programs may not qualify for federal financial aid. This is noted on the certificate requirements page, if applicable.
