Required Orientation for New Students
The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is committed to helping new or returning students transition successfully to college. All new degree-seeking students are required to engage in a New Student Orientation session prior to registering for classes. Please visit the New Student Orientation web page for additional information regarding requirements and to register for a session. Students who have additional questions about registration can contact their assigned advisor or the CWI One Stop.
Career and Technical Education Program Orientations
Several Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs require students to attend an additional program orientation prior to registration. The program orientations are designed to help students understand program expectations and course requirements. Program orientations are usually held prior to the opening of Fall and Spring registration, based on when programs accept a new group of students. Please contact One Stop Student Services or visit the program website for more information on program orientations for Automotive Technology, Collision Repair Technology, Heavy Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Truck Technician, and Powersports & Small Engine Repair Technology.
