Learning Commons

We are a division bringing together the Library, Tutoring Services, and the Writing & AI Literacy Center to unite academic support for students in integrated learning spaces. Whether you need help crafting an essay, making sense of tough course material, preparing for exams, or conducting research for an in-depth project, we have you covered.

  • The Library is the place to go if you’re working on a project that requires information from sources beyond your textbook. Librarians can help you focus your research topic, point you to high-quality scholarly information, and assist you in evaluating the credibility of open-web sources.
  • Tutoring Services levels the playing field for all students and elevates high achievers by providing content tutoring in subjects across the curriculum. Tutors can help you make sense of challenging course topics, help you prepare for exams, and even advance your study skills overall.
  • The Writing & AI Literacy Center offers free assistance with academic, creative, and professional writing for any course or project. Whether you're working on a paper, learning how to use generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, or building English language skills, consultants can help you succeed.

All Learning Commons services are free for currently enrolled students. Come explore what each of these services has to offer and let us help you reach your full potential.
