Program Description

Computers around the world are systematically being victimized by rampant hacking. This hacking is not only widespread, but it is being executed so flawlessly that the attackers can compromise a system, steal everything of value, and completely erase their tracks within 20 minutes. The goal of this program is to prepare technicians with skills to help organizations take preemptive measures against malicious attacks.

Understanding of computer technology, Internet navigation, email, Windows operating system features, and file management is essential for success in the Cybersecurity program. If a student is concerned that their basic computer skills are not competent, it is highly recommended that they speak with the department chair.

This program is offered in two ways:

1. Traditional, in-person two-year plan which begins each Fall.

2. Accelerated 18-month plan which has a rolling start term. For details regarding the accelerated plan, including the next starting term and the recommended course plan, students should visit the program webpage and/or meet with their advisor.

Note: Registrations for Cybersecurity courses are restricted to students within the major.
