Writing Center

The Writing Center offers free assistance with academic, creative, and professional writing. Writing Center consultants are careful readers and listeners who can offer strategies for revision and identify errors. They help with any type of writing at any stage of the writing process, including brainstorming, drafting, integrating research, revising, and polishing. Writing Center services include:

  • Face-to-face consultations: Work with a tutor in person at one of our campuses.
  • Email consultations: Submit your writing and receive feedback for revision.
  • Online/Virtual consultations: Work one-on-one with a writing consultant via our online scheduling platform or by accessing the "24/7 Online Tutoring & Writing Services" link found in the Tools menu of Blackboard.
  • Writing workshops: Participate in intensive, focused learning environments for specific writing topics, including grammar, MLA and APA formatting, thesis statements, reading strategies, and more.

For more information about these services, please visit the Writing Center web page or email writing@cwi.edu.
