Program Description

The Horticulture Technology curriculum includes theory and practice in:

• Plant propagation
• Production
• Management of nursery and greenhouse crops
• Planting and maintenance of landscapes
• Landscape Design
• Urban Agriculture

The Horticulture Intermediate Technical Certificate is intended for individuals interested in:

• Horticulture sales
• Floriculture
• Greenhouse and landscape maintenance.

The Horticulture Advanced Technical Certificate or Associate of Applied Science Degree qualifies students for employment in:

• Nursery, greenhouse, and floral businesses
• Landscape and grounds maintenance companies
• Parks
• Golf courses
• Community forestry departments
• Allied industries

Note: Registrations for Horticulture Technology courses are restricted to students within the major.
