Information Technology
CWI's computer use policy outlines the acceptable use of computer information systems, network resources, and technology resources; it is available throughout the campus for students, faculty, and staff. Access to computer systems, networks, and equipment imposes certain responsibilities and obligations and is granted subject to College policies and local, state, and federal laws. Acceptable use is always ethical and non-offensive, reflects academic honesty, and shows restraint in the consumption of system resources. It demonstrates respect for intellectual property, ownership of information, system security mechanisms, and individuals’ rights to privacy and freedom from intimidation and harassment.
Access to, and utilization of, CWI information technology resources is granted to students, faculty, and staff as appropriate to support their learning and instructional needs. All information technology resources are owned and operated by CWI and access rights may be restricted for an individual if inappropriate activities are identified. If an individual’s access rights are restricted or terminated, appeals may be initiated through the following office:
