Students must complete at least 12 credits of their general education courses at the College of Western Idaho in order to meet the residency requirement for graduation.

Students must verify completion of an eligible apprenticeship program in order to receive instructional-based prior learning assessment (PLA) credit for this course. Credits will be granted based upon the verified number of classroom hours that were completed as a part of their apprenticeship program. Students seeking PLA credit must first meet with their advisor.

Students must verify completion of an eligible apprenticeship program in order to receive experiential-based PLA credit for this course. Credits will be granted based upon the verified number of on-the-job training hours completed as a part of their apprenticeship program. Students seeking PLA credit must first meet with their advisor.

NOTE: General education (GE) courses can be completed either before, during, or after the apprenticeship (Major Requirements) component of this degree. However, the degree will not be granted until students complete their entire apprenticeship program and all required GE courses.
