The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Associate of Science (AS) degree is designed to develop a strong knowledge base in problem-solving and scientific thinking within a flexible degree structure. This degree will prepare students who plan to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program navigate their upper-division work in a STEM discipline. In addition, this degree may provide a transferable path for students with STEM-based technical credits. The STEM AS degree culminates in a capstone project that offers students an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned as well as clarify their path to achieving their academic and/or professional goals in STEM.
