Writing Center

The Writing Center offers free assistance with academic, creative, and professional writing projects. Writing Center consultants are careful readers and listeners who work alongside students to:

• offer strategies for revision,
• provide guidance in creating well-constructed writing, and
• teach transferrable writing skills.

Consultants help with any type of writing and at any stage of the writing process, including brainstorming, drafting, integrating research, revising, and polishing. Writing Center services include:

• Face-to-face appointments: Work with a consultant, in person, at one of our campuses.
• Online/Virtual consultations: Meet with a writing consultant virtually through our tutoring platform by accessing the "Tutoring Services & Writing Center" link found in the Quick Links menu of Blackboard.
• Email consultations: Submit your writing to receive written feedback through ACES, the Writing Center's email service.
